OUTREACH MISSION STATEMENT
The outreach activities at Hopewell honor Christ's command to make disciples for Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ name we display God's love reaching out to help those in need. We provide the opportunity for all disciples to individually and personally respond loyally to Christ's "Covenant of Grace" allowing growth in the likeness of Christ.
Mission Sundays are designed to allow all disciples the opportunity to participate in mission activity to serve Christ, experience Christ, serve those in need, display Christ's love in us, participate in evangelism spreading the Gospel, and to be loyal to Christ's "Covenant of Grace". When we follow Christ, then He is not only our Savior but also our Lord. On Mission Sunday we worship, have a fellowship "finger food lunch", and then carry out the selected mission for that particular Sunday. Mission Sunday is always the last Sunday of the month.
Mission Sundays partnership is with the following Christian organizations.
MOUNTAIN TOP BOYS HOME
Four times each year (once each quarter) Hopewell supplies a Personal Care Package to the boys at the Mountain Top Boys Home. We purchase the items, assemble the packages, and deliver them to the Boys Home.
UNITED METHODIST COMMITTEE ON RELIEF (UMCOR)
Twice each year Hopewell purchases and packages 40 Health Kits and sends them to the UMCOR warehouse.
WE INVITE YOU TO EXPERIENCE JESUS WITH US!
We will experience Christ as we give of ourselves doing Christ's work in this world. In this way our service is "Reaching Out To Touch Jesus". This is why we provide for all disciples, regardless of age or life commitments to family or career, the opportunity to grow in the likeness of Christ and be loyal to the "Covenant of Grace" carrying out the Great Commission! If you are seeking a way to do God's work then we invite you to join us in this mission church for this experience with Jesus!
